An Out Of Scan Range error can occur if the computer is set to a display resolution or refresh rate that is not supported by the monitor, or if the monitor is not connected properly. Follow this procedure to troubleshoot the issue.

- Ensure the monitor is correctly connected to the computer.
- Most Macintosh® computers require a Mac® adapter with the correct settings in order to work properly with a monitor. Ensure the adapter is configured for a compatible resolution and refresh rate.
- Macintosh G3 and G4 computers do not require a Mac adapter. Ensure the monitor is connected directly to the monitor port on the rear of the computer and the video mode selected is within the capabilities of the Sony® monitor.
- Perform a P-RAM clear procedure on the computer.
