Why doesn't the Welcome Home location appear?
If the Welcome Home location does not appear on the map in the My aibo app, or if a "?" is displayed on the map, aibo may not recognize the Welcome Home location correctly.
Try the following:
- Teach the Welcome Home location several times for the same location.
- In the My aibo app, open the Map screen, select Explore, and allow aibo to move around freely for a while. This helps aibo learn and remember the map of the area.
Why doesn't aibo welcome me home?
aibo may not welcome you home in the following situations:
- aibo is focused on another activity.
- The lighting conditions are significantly different from when you taught the Welcome Home location.
- Objects or obstacles prevent aibo from moving.
- When you have already said “I’m home” to aibo earlier that day.
How do I change the Welcome Home location?
To change the Welcome Home location, teach aibo the new location several times. After aibo learns the new location, it replaces the previous Welcome Home location.
How do I stop aibo from welcoming me home?
If you do not say “I’m home” to aibo for about a week or longer, aibo will stop welcoming you home.
