2023 marked the 11th anniversary of the Sony Creative Science Award (SCSA) in Taiwan. Inspired by Sony's CSR direction, " For the Next-Generation" and with the aim of encouraging children to explore their interests in science learning, the annual CSR program is held for elementary students aged 9 to 12.
This year, children from around Taiwan submitted toy-creations inspired by their hometowns showcasing the diverse and dynamic aspects of Taiwan. The exhibitions of the winning works were then expanded in Taipei and Kaohsiung to celebrate children's creativity and passion for science. More than 20,000 visitors were attracted to the exhibition where they could touch and try the toys while learning about science through interactive activities. Meanwhile, So-net Entertainment Taiwan, the sister company of Sony group, participated in the exhibition with a stand featuring an exclusively developed game that introduces facial recognition technology.
