Held annually since 1998, Sony Creative Science Award (SCSA) is the largest annual toy-making competition in Singapore. SCSA celebrated its 26th anniversary in 2023, receiving more than 3,500 submissions from close to 5,000 primary school students across the country. This year's winning entries showcased a wide range of scientific principles including forces, energy, light and sound.

The aim of SCSA is to develop creativity among the young through toy-making, in line with Sony's purpose `to fill the world with emotion through the power of creativity and technology.' As part of the program, creative and toy-making workshops were conducted for both students and teachers to inspire and guide them. The CurioStep-MESH Workshop was also held for the winning SCSA students where they learnt about IoT using Sony's MESH tags and had fun competing in a hands-on challenge, guided by Sony volunteers.
