Sony Creative Science Award (SCSA), an annual Sony CSR program for children has entered its 12th year in Taiwan. The competition invites children aged 9-12 years to create toys using their creativity while incorporating scientific principles. Exclusive workshops focused on science, creativity and digital imaging are conducted each year for shortlisted teams to inspire their imagination and support them on their journey in creation.
In addition to continuing our collaboration with the Ministry of Education, this year we have initiated the partnership with the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to jointly promote the idea of learning through play. All contestants who pass the preliminary selection received free amusement park tickets, allowing them to explore science through interesting lea rning experiences and stimulating more ideas during the toy creation process.
Exhibitions showcasing the winning toys were held in Taipei and Kaohsiung during the summer vacation, attracting over 22,000 visitors this year. With the exhibition theme of a "Toy Wonderland," visitors enjoyed a fun-filled and engaging experiences through various hands-on activities.
