MESH is a DIY platform that makes it possible to intuitively create, experience, and share programs with no knowledge of programming languages required. It uses electronic tags that are linked wirelessly, with a simple enclosure combining two 1-inch square blocks that house complex circuitry. The functional icons of each tag are simplified by shedding unnecessary elements. The tags’ playful colors highlight them in daily settings.
The app’s screen uses a square grid to match the hardware design. Icons and colors on the screen are identical with those of the physical tags so that users can instantly recognize which tags they are operating. In addition, the LED light of corresponding tags comes on when users touch the icons on the screen.
