Pro-UI is a graphic user interface design theme introduced to our suite of professional use applications in 2010 with several aims: enhancing usability and visibility; ensuring consistency in visual design; and streamlining development. Initially the main target was broadcasting and video production, so we used a component design with dark tones and a three-dimensional feel suitable for use in studios. However, the user base and operating environments changed as the range of business domains expanded. We therefore updated the design in 2017, in response to increased demand for online web applications. The new simple, neutral design is highly versatile and, with its significantly lighter data requirements, more practical. Now in use for interfaces across a broad range of business domains from education and sports through to agriculture, Pro-UI is available externally from 2020.
