The S.RIDE service platform leverages Sony’s AI and IT technologies with the aim of delivering safe and comfortable mobility experience. As a first step in that effort, we have built one of the largest taxi networks in Tokyo by partnership with several taxi companies and launched a taxi-hailing app and service.
The app is designed to be "Simple", "Smart", and "Speedy". The overall information design has been organized to reduce user hassle as much as possible, making it possible to request a ride with just one slide. Users are not required to enter their destination in advance, and the nearest taxi in the network will be quickly dispatched. The yellow dot incorporated into the logo is a motif representing the starting point of a ride.
