Next-generation EV initiative (2022)
This is a new prototype of Sony’s EV following the VISION-S 01, which was unveiled in 2020.
While inheriting the comfortable OVAL design concept of the 01, the 02 incorporated more SUV-like features: a seven-seater arrangement and an entertainment experience making full use of the spacious interior. Also, the new VISION-S THEME system enables the vehicle to be customized by choosing from various panel skin, sound, and lighting options. In other words, it "grows" into your preferred style over time. The 02 was also designed with the environment in mind: interior materials that are seen and touched, like vegan leather and bamboo, were selected from the perspectives of carbon neutrality and sustainability. Along with the 01, the new prototype was designed to accommodate the lifestyles of today’s society, where values are becoming increasingly diverse.
