Multiple robots will be in our living space as autonomous entertainment robots become more familiar. For the future, from the current "robot and person" communication, it may broaden to communication in which multiple robots surrounding people interact with each other to heal or entertain them. We can realize such near future situation with cloud AI. Data collected by each robot’s sensors are combined in the cloud and enable robots to execute appropriate coordination at the appropriate timing.

<Main features>
- Robots cooperate with each other, understanding user’s attitudes, surrounding environments and other robots nearby. Even if robot types are different, they can coordinate their timing of movements and cooperate with each other.
- Sensing data from multiple robots is collected in the cloud. Cloud AI will propose the forming of groups of robots that work together and the actions of each robot.
- Based on the suggestions of cloud AI, the individual robot’s AI determines the appropriate behavior and work.
<Future direction>
We aim to provide more advanced services by leveraging the data collected by various robots and devices on users and the environment, assembling it via the cloud, and effectively utilizing it through AI processing. We continue to develop this technology to apply not only to the combination of aibo and poiq, but also to various robots or services which may include products or services developed by Sony and other companies.
