Unified design of algorithm and hardware

Ph.D. in mathematics. After joining Sony Corporation, studied forward error correction (FEC) codes, especially algebraic codes such as Reed-Solomon and BCH codes and probabilistic codes such as turbo and LDPC codes. Subsequently, proposed LDPC codes and their peripheral technologies for worldwide digital broadcasting systems in order to obtain standard essential patents in FEC and developed standards and their receiver hardware. As a derivation from the Bayesian network used in the LDPC decoder, also now studies the deep neural network and its implementation, together with sensing signal processing.
