Recent progress on Gallium-Nitride-based Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers with curved mirror

Abstract

Highly efficient GaN-VCSELs emitting in blue wavelength were obtained. The peak wall plug efficiency was 22.2 %. This talk also reviews the latest progress of two-dimensional blue VCSEL array producing watt-class output power.
