Sony to Showcase Triporous™ at WEFTEC , the Water Environment Federation's Technical Exhibition and Conference 2025 in Chicago
Sumitomo Corporation and Sony Group Corporation (“Sony”) will participate in WEFTEC, the Water Environment Federation's Technical Exhibition and Conference, taking place from September 29 (Mon) to October 1 (Wed), 2025, at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Sony will exhibit Triporous™, a proprietary porous carbon material developed by the company.
At WEFTEC, a leading international exhibition dedicated to sustainability and advancements in the water sector, Sony will present the fundamental characteristics of Triporous in comparison with conventional adsorbents such as activated carbon, drawing upon the latest test results. In particular, Sony will showcase Triporous’ removal performance against environmental water and soil containing high concentrations of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
Triporous has demonstrated the capability to remove PFAS more efficiently and at lower cost than conventional treatment technologies. We look forward to welcoming you at WEFTEC 2025.
