Sony Group is advancing the research, development, and commercialization of cutting-edge technologies that empower creators to bring new ideas and forms of expression to life. One example is groovots, the entertainment swarm robot system. Developed from Sony's expertise in live entertainment solutions and robotics, the system was also used as part of the stage production for Chihaya Kisaragi: OathONE - Solo Live at Nippon Budokan—the first-ever solo live concert by an idol from THE IDOLM@STER series. At performances held on January 24 and 25, 2026, two types of robots—including a large-scale model measuring approximately 2 meters by 2 meters—brought the venue to life through movement and visual effects.

Creative Center members were also involved in developing the robots. The designers explored ways to create more impactful stage performances, designing the robots' movements and choreography.
