Major LGBTQ+-related Initiatives at Sony in Japan
Sony Group regards “Diversity” as one of its Values, respecting gender identity and sexual orientation as an important part of that diversity. We are promoting a workplace where everyone, including LGBTQ+ employees, can be themselves and thrive, in each of the countries and regions where we operate.
Within Japan, we are carrying out the following initiatives:
- Extending employee benefits to those with same-sex partners
- Providing reasonable considerations in the workplace
- Awareness and education through employee training
- Operating the Ally Network
- Societal outreach
These internal and external initiatives have been recognized, and Sony Group Corporation has received Gold certification in the PRIDE Index 2025, administered by the general incorporated association work with Pride.
We look forward to welcoming you at the Sony Group booth.
