Creating a Sustainable Environment for Long-Term Success
Sony is building a corporate culture in which employees can continue to build their careers throughout the events in their lives. This is supported by domestic initiatives such as the Symphony Plan (a system to support employee work-life balance), childcare seminars and social events, distribution of interviews with men at Sony who have taken parental leave, partnership with daycare providers, seminars and training for nursing care, regularly held community meetings run by employee volunteers and provision of financial planning consultations.

Symphony Plan
Everyone faces life-changing events such as pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, nursing care and treatment of illnesses at some time or other. Nobody can foretell when they are likely to occur. Sony's Symphony Plan is designed to create an environment that enables employees who face life-changing events to continue working and reach their full potential by providing support for a solid work-life balance at any career stage.

E-learning Program on Balancing Work with Childcare, Nursing Care, and Medical Treatment
The e-learning program "Continuing to Work as Your Authentic Self: Tips for Balancing Work with Childcare, Nursing Care, and Medical Treatment," provided to Sony Group companies in Japan, introduces practical tips for balancing work with life events such as childcare, nursing care, and medical treatment. In addition to employees themselves, the content also includes key points for managers and team members, helping to promote understanding across the workplace. Based on the concept of Work in Life, Sony supports the creation of environments in which diverse employees can work and thrive in their own way. The program is offered as e-learning that can be accessed whenever needed.
