Kokeshi Exhibition
In-House to Social Design Unit Vol. 1 (2026)
Sony designers joined Fujifilm designers in Kokeshi Reimagined by Sony and Fujifilm Designers, a selling exhibition held at Isetan Shinjuku. The exhibition marked the first initiative of IN-HOUSE→SOCIAL DESIGN UNIT, a collaboration between Dentsu's Future Creative Center and Isetan Shinjuku.
In this initiative, in-house designers stepped outside their usual fields of work to explore new forms of expression through the traditional Japanese craft of kokeshi. Through ongoing dialogue with Sakurai Kokeshi, a kokeshi artisan of Naruko kokeshi, Sony designers respected the essence of the tradition while exploring new forms of expression through observation and identifying design challenges. Working in collaboration with Sakurai Kokeshi, they created a diverse range of products.
