Sony - FUTURE PROOF : Blade for All
Soft inspirational music plays. Under an overcast sky, an angular canopy of wooden beams in a woven pattern are attached to a round shield and arc with it like a tunnel over a wood-paneled building at one end of the canopy with a pair of glass doors centered in it. A blue bubble rises from the bottom left with white text.

Now a wooden peg wall displays different blade attachments for prosthetic legs, they are placed at one end of a blue running track under the angular canopy. The other end of the canopy opens to the outside.
Dark blue circles move slowly away on either side of a blue background with white text in the middle.

Now a clean-shaven, middle aged Japanese man in a grey shirt with a science graphic sits in front of two table drills in a wood-paneled space. A blue bubble in the bottom left introduces him with white text.

“The Blade Library is for creating an environment where children without the use of their legs have options to enjoy running in their daily lives.”
A boy runs on the side of the blue track with a blade prosthetic. A wooden peg wall holds a few tools and many different blade attachments. Some different logos and Japanese text are at the top of the wall.

“Someday when Blade Libraries are everywhere, you won’t need legs to experience running.”
A teenager pumps his arms as he sprints down the track with a black blade prosthetic. At a table drill, Ken wears safety glasses and inspects a blade.

“There are many people who don’t get a chance to run just because they don’t know about the latest technology.”
On the side of the track, the boy sits on a bench as a smiling man adjusts a screw on the robotic knee of his prosthetic. Now the boy holds handrails on either side of him facing a young man who holds the rails steady and wears a black blade prosthetic. They lift their legs and prosthetics toward each other, one side, then the other. Then the boy skips past the building at the end of the canopy with his blade.
KEN
“I hope the Blade Library can be a place where those people can run whenever they want to run and there will be equipment ready for them to do so.”
A worker now tweaks the boy’s prosthetic at a desk. On a field, the young man with the black blade walks backwards, holding a phone, as he leads two men, a woman, and a little girl, all who walk with blades, to a white line. Now in Ken’s interview.
KEN
“If I can make someone happy with technology that is also what makes me happy.”
The young man jogs alongside the little girl who runs with her pink blade to a blue line. The young man speaks in Japanese and yellow subtitles appear.
YOUNG MAN
“Ok!”
The girl beams.
A dark blue screen splits into two bubbles on a blue background as the music fades out. The left bubble has a white logo.
