Sony Group Corporation (hereafter "Sony") today announced that it will enter a new partnership with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency (hereafter "UNHCR"), through Japan for UNHCR.
Under this partnership, Sony will contribute a total of USD 2 million over two-years to support UNHCR's emergency humanitarian assistance as well as the Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative (Deutsche Akademische Flüchtlings initiative Albert Einstein, DAFI) scholarship programme.

Sony has supported refugee assistance programs implemented by UNHCR worldwide and has contributed to raising awareness of refugee issues in Japan by sponsoring the Refugee Film Festival.

Through this partnership, Sony will support UNHCR in delivering life-saving emergency humanitarian assistance to people in acute need worldwide, while also providing higher education opportunities for displaced youth in Africa through the DAFI scholarship programme.
