Sony Innovation Fund to Exhibit at CEATEC 2026

Showcasing co-creation initiatives through investment and incubation

    Tokyo, Japan — Sony Group Corporation("Sony") today announced that it will exhibit at CEATEC 2026, which will be held from October 13 to 16, 2026, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The exhibit, themed "Where Ideas Grow Through Co-Creation," will showcase the activities of Sony Innovation Fund, which works with startups and other partners to co-create new businesses through investment and incubation.
    Through Sony Innovation Fund, Sony invests in startups and promotes business development and incubation with the aim of creating new businesses. By connecting diverse ideas, technologies, and talent and nurturing their potential, Sony aims to contribute to the development of next-generation industries while aiming to create new experiences and new forms of inspiration.
    At the CEATEC 2026, Sony will introduce its innovation support initiatives across the Sony Group, as well as companies that became independent from Sony Group with support from Sony Innovation Fund. Visitors will also be able to explore products and services from companies in which the Sony Innovation Fund has invested since its establishment in 2016. The exhibit highlights how ideas grow through co-creation and evolve into new businesses and sources of value.

    Main Exhibits

    Sony Innovation Fund

    Sony Innovation Fund, Sony's corporate venture capital initiative, will highlight its investments in startups with innovative technologies, business models, services, and products that have the potential to shape the future. It will also present examples of business development support through internal incubation and business co-creation, together with the background to the initiative's establishment and its activities to date.

    Sony Acceleration Platform

    Sony Acceleration Platform supports innovation both within and outside Sony and facilitates collaboration with a wide range of partners. The exhibit will introduce an approach that combines the investment capabilities of Sony Innovation Fund with Sony Acceleration Platform's business development expertise to strengthen support for startups, from sourcing and identification through growth support.

    augment AI Inc.

    augment AI Inc. was established as an independent company by the development team that led Sony's smartwatch business, following the transfer of related trademarks and patents from Sony Group. The company will showcase wena X, a next-generation smartwatch that has raised approximately 600 million yen through an ongoing crowdfunding campaign.

    Qoly Corporation

    Qoly Corporation carries forward certain technologies developed through Sony's medical robotics research.*1 The company develops, manufactures, sells, and provides support for microsurgery*2 assistance robots and related products. As an example of Sony's corporate incubation initiatives, Qoly will present its proprietary technologies and their potential for future development.

    YOAKE entertainment Co., Ltd.

    YOAKE entertainment Co., Ltd. operates IRC APP on Soneium, the blockchain developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs Pte. Ltd. The company will present its efforts to connect global fan communities in the entertainment sector and create new fan engagement experiences.

    Pictoria Inc.

    Pictoria Inc., which creates intellectual property and content by combining AI-based technologies with entertainment, will exhibit Picto STAND, an interactive digital signage system that enables conversations with AI characters.

    Litpla Inc.

    Litpla Inc. operates experiential entertainment facilities for children and families in Japan and overseas, including the next-generation theme park Little Planet. The company will introduce initiatives in the LBE*3 field developed through collaborations with Sony's entertainment businesses and Sony Innovation Fund. Visitors will also be able to experience interactive entertainment firsthand.

    LENZO, Inc.

    LENZO, Inc., a semiconductor startup focused on building next-generation computing infrastructure, will present a collaborative initiative combining Sony's high-performance CMOS image sensors with ultra-low-power AI semiconductors based on LENZO's proprietary CGLA architecture. The initiative aims to enable high-speed, real-time recognition and analysis at the edge.

    TIER IV, Inc.

    TIER IV, Inc., a deep-tech company leading the development of Autoware, an open-source software platform for autonomous driving, will showcase a collaborative use case featuring cameras equipped with Sony CMOS image sensors, optimized for Level 4 autonomous driving with seamless Autoware integration.
