Sony Named in TIME's Inaugural List of The
"TIME100 Most Influential Companies"

On April 27, TIME announced the first-ever "TIME100 Most Influential Companies," a new list highlighting 100 businesses making an extraordinary impact around the world. We at Sony are very proud to have been included.

According to TIME, nominations were solicited across every sector ï¼ including health care, entertainment, transportation, technology and more ï¼ from its global network of editors and correspondents, as well as from industry experts. Each company was then evaluated on key factors, including relevance, impact, innovation, leadership, ambition and success.

Sony is featured in the "Leaders" category alongside companies including Apple and Nike, in recognition of the successful launch of PlayStation®5 amidst the COVID-19 crisis, and the record-breaking animated feature "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," which rewrote the all-time box office record in Japan.

Based on our Purpose to "fill the world with emotion, through the power of creativity and technology," and our corporate direction of "getting closer to people," we will continue to strive to deliver Kando (emotion) to people around the world.

Unleash the boundless "space perspectives"
and deliver a new Kando experience

From the perspective of "Co-Creation," the "SESSIONS" series features dialogues that introduce the activities of Sony's diverse employees to create Kando, based on Sony's Purpose. In this, the fifth SESSIONS installment, we address the STAR SPHERE project. The purpose of this project is to enable people to feel closer to the universe and discover a new perspective on space. Through the experience of operating a nano-satellite jointly developed by Sony and the University of Tokyo, with support from JAXA, users can take their own photos and videos of space and earth. We introduce the project concept, "space perspectives" and the current Co-Creation activity.
