Sony Group's Special Sponsorship for the AnimeJapan 2026 Anime Festival

    Known as the largest anime festival in the world, AnimeJapan 2026 was held on March 28 and 29, with Sony Group acting as the event's special sponsor for the very first time. With exhibitions from several Sony Group companies featured at the famed Tokyo Big Sight venue, this article presents a glimpse of the excitement at the event with both photos and video.

    Sony's Broadening Initiatives at AnimeJapan 2026

    Bridging both linguistic and cultural barriers, anime has become a beloved and truly international phenomenon. This year marked the first time Sony Group became a special sponsor for AnimeJapan - the world's largest anime festival, bringing fans and members of the industry together in one place.

    The AnimeJapan Entrance Gate

    Among the exhibits were booths set up by Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) subsidiary Aniplex, mobile game Fate/Grand Order, anime production software AnimeCanvas, and more. In addition to Fate/Grand Order acting as a premium sponsor for the event, the NURO wireless service from Sony Network Communications also played a sponsorship role by supplying internet access for the venue.

    With over 156,000 people in attendance, AnimeJapan 2026 truly served as a worldwide stage for the broad and diverse appeal of anime. Sony Group will continue to strive to spread Kando across the world through anime, alongside its many other forms of entertainment.
