Designed to boost mobility and shooting freedom for the VENICE 2 digital cinema camera, the VENICE Extension System Mini extends the camera head while preserving the VENICE 2’s image quality. The camera head integrates an 8.6K full-frame CMOS sensor, equivalent to the VENICE 2 sensor, but the design pares down both the size and weight of the unit to the minimum. A newly developed thin, supple detachable cable enables shoots that have traditionally proven difficult—tight spaces, handheld operation, and small-gimbal setups—opening up new possibilities for the images cinematographers envision.

Placing two camera head blocks side by side also enables high-quality, natural stereoscopic capture by matching the image sensor separation to human pupil distance. The smaller, lighter body of the VENICE Extension System Mini adapts flexibly to a wide range of shooting situations and styles, giving a broader scope of cinematographers a powerful tool to enrich their creative energies.
