Tokyo, Japan - Sony Group Corporation ("Sony") extends its deepest sympathies to the communities affected by the earthquake centered in the Kumamoto region of Kumamoto Prefecture on July 28, 2026.

Sony will donate 50 million yen in emergency aid. The funds will be provided through the "Emergency Relief and Recovery Fund for Children*1" jointly operated by Save the Children Japan and Sony, and through the Japanese Red Cross Society*2, and are planned to be used to support relief efforts for those affected by the disaster.

Sony will also collect donations from employees at Sony Group Companies and match the amounts raised.
