Polarization control of Gallium Nitride based Vertica-cavity Surface-emitting Lasers by side-facet introduction
Abstract
We found a simple way to ensure polarization control of output light without any degradation in threshold current or slope efficiency by creating a facet surface on the side of the substrate outside the aperture using a GaN-based c-plane blue VCSEL with a concave mirror structure.
